Napa Valley

My parents came down to CA to visit us for one last time before the big move North. (Although we gave this trip to them for Christmas and at the time none of us knew we'd be living in Washington six months later!)

We stayed in a cute Bed & Breakfast called The Blackbird Inn on Friday night. We went out downtown to a wine bar where they were playing live jazz music. Saturday we headed out to wine country where we visited about 8 wineries (thanks to my dad's extreme personal interest and enthusiasm for everything wine!). We went on a tour at Robert Mondavi, enjoyed the hilltop views from Silverado Vineyards and the baby goats at Pine Ridge. Yes, that's right baby goats. Well, we had to find something to occupy our time while my dad was filling out the application for the wine club membership!
We stayed at the Silverado Resort on Saturday night and after a long day of wine touring (and tasting) we opted to make dinner in using our full suite kitchen.

Sunday morning my mom and I went to the pool, where we got to lay out in the sun, read our books and I even fit in a swim workout, while the boys golfed the famous Silverado course. We stopped off at a few more wineries (my dad wouldn't have it any other way) before calling it a weekend and headed back towards Monterey.
Link to more photos coming soon!
