Dang You Twilight

For many years now I have coveted the name Isabella/Bella/Ella for a daughter, if I ever have one. I think the forename exudes grace, elegance while simultaneously saying: Yeah, I’m fun.

Having a fairly unique name myself-well, it was when I was born-has made me realize that if I brought a new person into this world I would have to bestow upon them an interesting title. It’s only fitting. I mean, look who his/her parents will be!

But the name has been permanently stricken from my internal list.

I just couldn’t do that to my daughter. I’d be afraid someone would try to bite her on the playground (not the typical child’s play kind, but the I want to suck your blood kind) or even worse.
I’m actually not sure what would be worse than that, but there’s probably something.
It’s just that the name is so 2008 now.  I mean, all those young girls popping out babies soon will have Bellas running around their house.

Yes, I’ve read the “Saga”
Yes, I was swooning over Edward.
No, I did not picture Robert Pattinson in my head because I started reading them before they made the movies.
Yes, I also thought it was annoying that the first half of the final book was dedicated to Bella being preggers. I mean, how long can it take for a vampire to gestate? Pop it out already!

So, to all of the
Bella Worshippers,
Edward Camp/Jacob Camp Droolers, and
Hot vampire obsessors:

You’re killing me.

It won’t be long now before this thing here is going to be off the charts.

Good thing there’s still time to work on a new name, as there’s no baby plan in the works.
But still.
