Album of the Month | Foster the People, Torches

The love affair started on a Virgin Air flight to the Whitsunday Islands. I first heard Pumped Up Kicks while staring at all the beautiful flight attendants in a blissful state of starting our Australia "holiday."

I waited months for their full length album to be released, and in the meantime had their 3-song LP on repeat. And repeat.

Foster the People's Torches have been described as "touches of MGMT's kitschy pop, Passion Pit's relentless synth-bounce, and Peter Bjorn and John's catchy dream pop fill their debut album."

A definite must in the summer 2011 playlist.
