Okay, so apparently I'm way behind the curve on this one, since the album came out in 2008 and all, but it's just way too good to pass up.
Here is where the hip-hop genre intersects with rock and electronica and the adjective alternative.
Combine all these and you have some bumping, incredibly full rockin' beats that make their record one of the best albums I've heard all year. Seriously.
Too bad they can't make my Best of for this year, but they are definitely going on my "Discovered in 2010."
Made up of two brothers, The Knux released their first (and only, to date) full length album, Remind Me in 3 Days... in 2008. Some of the feature tracks include "Cappuccino" , "Bang! Bang!" and "F!re (Put It In The Air)" but every song is amazing and I even enjoy the interludes (which is usually a deal breaker for me).
They were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and ended up in LA, where they jumped on the circuit hitting most of the large music festivals in 2009.
Nothing new for them in 2010 so I can only hope that their next release will come in the next 12 months. I'm already salivating at what will come next.
