Side note: apparently Karlsson and Winnberg are known for their work as the production duo Bloodshy & Avant. They have written and produced for Kylie Minogue, Madonna, and Britney Spears and received a Grammy for his work with Britney Spears Toxic. (No wonder that's the only Britney Spears song I like!)
As Miike Snow they have found this wonderful balance of a laid back sound infused with some beats and lounge music to make it just enough to dip over into electronica scene. Apparently the three band members just started out by "messing around" and came up with this album. Man, I wish my messing around produced musical genius!
They're on tour in the US this year and will hopefully generate even more of a following to get them back in the studio because I am already awaiting their sophomore release.
