The Move Update

Whoa. I just don't know what happened to the last few weeks. I swear one minute I was in Ho Chi Minh City and the next I was back at the house with piles of boxes and furniture staring back at me (the fact that I didn't have to spend 40 minutes in a cab to go 8 km and the severe temperature change/humidity loss also kind of gave away the fact that I was no longer in SE Asia).

I had a great business trip; worked heaps but all went very well. Josh is settling into his new home-office; loves the distance between his home-brewed coffee and work station. He and I have both been back home together for a week now and am excited about settling into the place, if we can ever actually find the bottom of it.

Last weekend we went to Portland for the Spoon concert (and to visit Kellie) and ended up coming back up to Seattle with a U-Haul trailer filled with furniture! We spent Sunday visiting my dad for Father's Day (he also is in the early stages of recovering from shoulder surgery).
Somwhere in there we fit in a trip to the appliance store and ended up with a gas stove (we're definitely boosting the economy with our discretionary income this month!).

The work week flew by and we didn't make as much progress on the house as we had hoped, yet we caught up with a few friends and watched the sun set over dinner at Alki Beach. We decided the boxes will still be there when we get back but the long summer days will not!
