Lost the Locks

I decided to cut my hair.

I had thought about it for awhile, but when Kirsten called me to see if I was in town for lunch it turns out she was coming down to meet a new hairstylist. She saw a cute haircut on her friend, and her friend told her the hairstylist was a French woman who cut hair out of her home in Carmel Valley. About 2 hours after Kirsten called to ask if I was free for lunch (and if it was wierd she was driving down from Palo Alto for a haircut), she called back to tell me that she had misunderstood: the hairstylist came to you. Meaning Kirsten needed a house to have her haircut in. I offered ours and we spent the time catching up and talking with the sweet French hairstylist who was in town for a few months visiting her brother. Just as they were finishing they both said how cute I would look with short hair and 30 minutes later....Voila!

I decided that if it was long enough to donate I would cut it. It needed to be at 10 inches and I had 11. I donated it to Locks Of Love and now my tagline is: "If my husband can donate his hair, so can I." (It used to be past his shoulders!)

It's been fun to have it short and I just love how quick it is to style after getting out of the pool.

Now I just have to find a hairstylist (because she moved back to France two days after she cut our hair)!
